Past: Growing up in the desert has its ups and downs. For Sirius, living in a small desert town with a practically nonexistent mother and unknown father, it was pretty much a roller coaster ride from dawn to dusk and sometimes late into the night. Sirius's mother owned a tavern in Kakkara that didn't tend to draw in much, so while she worked nearly all hours of the day and night, she made very little to support herself and her son. Being an unmonitored and undisciplined child, Sirius started to get into trouble at a young age, and only got worse as time went on. He and a group of kids formed a gang of sorts, beat up on other kids (as well as each other), stole things, vandalized, and generally caused a lot of trouble for the sleepy town, if only out of boredom.

Then Sirius's mother got pregnant, and the world turned upside down. At first Sirius was enraged that his mother would be so irresponsible as to have another child, when she could barely afford one. Then, Sirius started to realize that while he wasn't happy with the situation, being mad wasn't going to make it go away. He left his gang and started to work with his mother at the tavern, mostly washing tables, doing all the more laborious tasks as his mother got to be as big as a house, and now and then dissolving any bar fights he could handle. He was fifteen at the time.

Sirius's old gang kept on without him, taking on a new leader-- an arsonist who was particularly interested in armed robbery. When the group decided to hit the tavern, Sirius had been manning the place while his mother was on bed rest. Things got messy very quickly. During the struggle between gang members and patrons, the arsonist thought he'd lit a smoke bomb. Instead he'd lit a firecracker, and in a panic, threw it behind the bar.

The fire wound up gutting the tavern. The gang members were apprehended with Sirius's help, but now his mother had no way to support herself even after she had her baby.

Two weeks after greeting his baby sister, sixteen-year-old Sirius packed his bags and headed off to Ishe to find some work that would make enough money for his mom and baby sister. Now, a year later, his mother has married and is taken care of, but Sirius remains in Ishe, taking up jobs as a bodyguard or general thug for hire. He still visits Kakkara for his little sister's birthday, and Mana Holy Day, though.

Personality: Sirius is a troublemaker at heart and usually can't sit still for long. He likes to run around and cause mischief, he's pretty darn good at beating people up, and doesn't see the harm in doling out the black eyes when they're needed. He's actually become fairly popular with some of the taverns and bars in Ishe as a substitute bouncer. He's a big teddy bear at heart, though, and will lend his muscle for the weak or defenseless. He will also never raise a hand to a woman unless she's actively endangering him or someone she loves. He's grown to respect his mom and he adores his little sister. He's just a bit rough around the edges.

He also has a girlfriend who he's been steady with for about six months now. While he's crazy about her, he's easily embarrassed when people tease him about her. He's definitely not big on PDA and even manages to blush and look suitably disgruntled and humiliated if she holds his hand in public.

Additional information: Sirius's scar on his nose was from when he was still running with the gang in Kakkara. He also smokes like a chimney.
